I'm going to be honest, this audiobook was not one that I would've touched in a million years had it not been the fact that I needed a new audiobook, and that I've got an age to wait until the next Aubrey & Maturin book becomes available! So here I am, with my 42nd book of the year, and one which I should've reserved for the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in hindsight!

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a massive fan of the DC and Marvel stuff, it's just not really my thing. The Marvel films are decent, but I just feel they're everywhere! It was only because I needed a book, that I chose Wonder Woman: Warbringer.
It's about Diana, Wonderwoman, who rescues a girl named Alia, a direct descendent of Helen of Troy, who possesses the ability of being a Warbringer. Essentially this means that she has the power to bring war, death and destruction across the world.
Together, Diana and Alia have to work to stop this age of war from happening. That is essentially the plot. Diana risks everything from her culture to keep worlds colliding, and prevent a deadly war. Together they team up with Alia's brother, and a couple of other friends, and face foes, both natural and supernatural.
It's a book with very strong female lead characters, and the bond of friendship is also key theme. I did enjoy the book, it was well written, albeit aimed at a teenage audience, but sometimes these type of books are good for any age! It looks to be set up nicely for another book. Whether or not I'll read it, is another matter!
Onwards to my next audiobook!
