So here I am again, book number 40 of the year, and another audiobook done and dusted. I have got a physical book on the go, but just haven't been reading as much recently. I need to get back into the swing of things.

So whilst I wait for the next Aubrey & Maturin book to become available to listen to, I've been looking to listen to something different. So I thought to myself, why not try a nice western, after all, they're a bit of fun.
I'm not going to lie, this audiobook was dire. Absolutely dire. I have no idea what happened, and I felt totally disengaged from it. Perhaps if I read it rather than listened to it, I may have stood more of a chance of liking it, but I just didn't get it. Lots of dialogue, but it just didn't seem like much was happening!
It could've been to do with the voice performer reading the book. He was a redneck, no other way to put it. Monotone, and just dull dull dull. Every sentence was abrupt and there was no real delivery of whatever the story was. Something to do with revenge and justice I think. I'm not sure because it just bored me to tears.
I'm not going to write anymore about this book, because I don't feel I have anything to say to do it justice. It's got a 1* on goodreads from me, maybe I've been overly harsh, but I just didn't like it.
