Last review, I promised that I was reading an absolute classic. I still am, but this review is not of it. I haven't finished it yet, but I will do soon enough! This one is a book from an already started Trilogy, recommended to me by a very good friend, Chloe, and I'm really pleased that I stuck with it!

Book 3 in the Farseer trilogy, Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb. I was honest with my reviews of the first two books, that they took a long time to get started, and they did. I went into this one with a sense of trepidation that as it's a massive book (over 830 pages), it would take forever to get going as the previous two did.
How wrong I was. The first few chapters were a bit dull, but after that the pace and action really picked up. So much so that I struggled to put it down.
The book picks up just after Royal Assassin, with the shock ending. Fitz is convalescing with Burrich, but at the start of the book, he is more wolf than man. As time goes by he regains his human instincts, but in the process drives those closest to him away. It's a coming of age story and journey for Fitz, as he sets out on his quest for revenge.
There's some great twists and turns along the way, Fitz finds himself the centre of several women's attentions, finds himself in perilous situations, but ultimately he finds his way in life.
I'm really not going to spoil this book, it's worth the read. It flowed well, and the twists and turns at the end kept me guessing what was going to happen next. It would make a brilliant TV series. I'd say film, but there's so much content that a film wouldn't do it justice!
The characters were on point, and I really liked how much Fitz and his companion Nighteyes grew throughout. The existing characters had some great moments as well, and I absolutely loved the two new main characters of Starling and Kettle. They both bought something special into the book.
The ending, I was happy with the ending, especially when Revenge is finally wrought, however surprising it was from Fitz.
Having been a bit iffy with the series at first, I'm really happy with how it panned out. So much so, that I may have ordered the next trilogy! Thanks Chloe for the recommendation. I'll recommend this one to everyone!
