This is a review I've been avoiding, not going to lie. It's not because I don't know what to write in it, I do. But I almost don't want to write it, as it'll be doing a disservice to one of the greatest F1 Drivers ever. But ah well, I'll do it anyway, one review of a book isn't going to ruin a reputation!

So, Lewis Hamilton, the full story... except it's not the full story, because it was published in 2007... after just his second season in F1. That's fine, his first season was fantastic, only just missing out on a rookie championship. This book tells the story of his life from starting out in Karting, through the various formulas and eventually breaking into F1. There's an extra shoehorned chapter in that describes his second, championship winning season, and it feels like a complete add on.
I didn't mind the book, but I didn't like it. It just seemed very full of nothing but praise towards Lewis, like he can do no wrong. To write in 2007, after 2 seasons that Lewis is 'a phenomenon' seems a bit convoluted to me... had it been written 10 years later, after a few more dominant seasons, I'd agree. But it just didn't sit right.
What I did like about it was the breakdown of the races in his rookie season. But that's about it.
Not much more to write about it, it seems to be a half written biography of Hamilton. Maybe if I was reading it in 2007, it would be different, but I'm not, so it isn't!
I've got an absolute classic coming soon... lets see what I think of it
