Well, here I am, start of June, and I've already reached the milestone of a book a week for the year... but that's not my goal, so onwards I go. I reckon I'll hopefully hit 100 books for the year, wouldn't that be great!

So book 52. How to be a Footballer by Peter Crouch. I've become a bit of a fan of Peter Crouch in the past 18 months, mainly because of his brilliant podcast. When you think of the modern day footballer, you think of them as overpaid prima donnas who are just me-me-me. Peter Crouch certainly isn't that. He's absolutely hilarious, and this book is no exception.

In the book, he goes through various aspects of what it means to be a footballer, from fashion to social media. There's of course a lot of talk about what goes on on the pitch as well, but he talks a lot about the off-pitch antics more. As an audiobook, it's very much like listening to an 8 hour long podcast, as he talks not just of his own experience, but rips into the more flamboyant footballers that we know, showing that there are various sides to the glamorous lifestyle that footballers supposedly lead.

Peter Crouch isn't scared to take the mickey out of himself, and he does it a lot, and he does it in such a nonchalant way that it's hard not to enjoy it for what it is!

I'm not really sure what else to write about this book. It's just funny, eye opening and great!

If you want a fun read I'd recommend this!
